If you prefer to access ProtonMail via a desktop email client (such as Apple Mail, Outlook, or Thunderbird), we encourage you to give ProtonMail Bridge beta a try.

Since Bridge stores your encrypted messages locally, it can now serve them to your email client much faster than before. We’ve rolled out major stability and performance improvements, and a new local cache, which now includes full message bodies. We’ve added a new Status View to ensure you don’t miss important notifications and to help you keep track of your available storage.

We’ve also improved the Help section so you can easily find the information you need. We’ve revamped the Settings page so you can control the location of your cache or reset Bridge. The app has been entirely redesigned to focus on your ease of use. ProtonMail Bridge users: We’re excited to share a preview of the improvements that our team has been working on!
